Bonjour!

This is an image of the Grand Place located in downtown Brussels, Belgium. A carpet of flowers that covers the main square is made in August every two years. The Grand Place was originally a market square but in the mornings is a place where you can buy fresh flowers. This carpet of flowers is called the Tapis de Fleurs in French and has a different theme every two years. In 2002 they used a design that was based off the Palais de Versailles garden and had fountains in it. In 1990 it was the year of Mozart and in 1994 the Tapis de Fleur celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brussels.
